Tailchasers Incorporated was founded by Randa Martin to help others discover, develop, and nurture the animal and human bond with their pets. We offer professional dog training, pet sitting, and dog walking to pets and their families in the Chicagoland area.
About the Owner
Randa, Maxwell, and Foster
Randa was born an animal lover, but she didn't realize her passion for dogs until her senior year of college, when met a Cairn Terrier named Sir Scruffington. Through Scruffy, Randa discovered the incredible depth of the human and animal bond. She was determined to pursue a career developing and understanding that relationship.
After finishing her education degree at Illinois State University, Randa started absorbing every bit of information she could learn about dogs. She enrolled in many obedience classes in the area and read every book and magazine about dogs that she could find. Seminars on clicker training, show dog handling, telepathic communication with animals, rehabilitating aggressive dogs, behavior chains, and musical freestyle fed Randa's fire for knowledge as she began saving for dog trainer school.
Extensive research led Randa to Arizona Canine Academy in 2001, where she learned a wide variety of training techniques, as well as gained valuable experience handling different types of dogs. She graduated with an Award of Merit, and began studying with every pet professional that would take her in.
Randa has worked with veterinarians, dog trainers, groomers, and kennel owners all over the nation in behavior modification, protection training, canine massage, show dog handling, grooming, TTouch, agility, hunting dog training, on and off leash obedience, movie tricks, canine chiropractics, service dog training, flyball, therapy dog training, socialization, Rally-O, earthdog training, aggressive dog rehabilitation, clicker training, alternative medicine, canine nutrition, problem solving, tracking, Canine Good Citizen testing, flower essence remedies, doggy daycare, animal communication, retrieval training, and puppy testing, along with many other topics.
